Dear Ava,

We celebrated your first official Halloween with your cousins Cyan and Dax (and a whole bunch of us adults) and lord, was it absolutely hilarious. It took only a house or two for you to understand the concept of "trick or treat", and before we knew it you were leading the pack in your little hot pink cheetah costume (that yours truly here picked up the previous morning from gasp, a Spirit store). Luckily by the time we arrived back at the house you were too exhausted to notice I disposed of all but a piece or two of your candy (into my own pockets of course).

Holidays are much more entertaining with you around.
