Dear Ava,

Whenever we rock together before bed, whether it be naptime, bedtime, or any time in between, I love to rest my cheek on your forehead. This way when you blink, I can feel your lashes and know whether or not you're asleep before I put you down. Some parents would disagree that I still rock you to sleep, but these are the moments I love as a mother. And I just love those little lashes.
