Dear Ava,

A few weeks back your Dad and I took you to the Phoenix zoo for the first time.  It's one of my very favorite places and I hope soon to be one of yours, too. We arrived early to find that most of the animals were out enjoying their mornings, but mostly you were just interested in the other kids. It was a successful first trip, I think.
